We are a Nova Scotia chapter of The Modern Quilt Guild, based physically out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We would like to acknowledge that the guild operates in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people, who have cared for and lived on this land for thousands of years.
Additionally, Black Nova Scotians, and people of African descent have given strong influence to craft and textile arts along with many other gifts to the region, for more than 400 years. For this we are grateful.
We are part of the Modern Quilt Guild movement that encompasses over 100 modern quilt guilds in Canada, the United States, and many other countries around the world.
